An Unforgettable Cruise Experience

The breathtaking views, refreshing ocean breeze, and stunning sunrises and sunsets from a balcony create an experience like no other. Once you’ve stayed in a balcony room, it’s hard to settle for an inside cabin!

If it’s your first cruise, you’re in for a treat. I highly recommend booking at least a year in advance to secure the best rates since prices tend to increase closer to departure. To make budgeting easier, you can place a small deposit and pay off the balance over time before your due date. Planning is key, so try to pack light to make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

The Cabin Experience

The cabins are surprisingly spacious, featuring a queen-size bed, a couch that converts into a bed, and a stand-up shower in the bathroom. A quick tip—do not sit on the toilet and flush at the same time. Trust me, it’s an experience you won’t want to repeat!

To save space, remember that the walls are metal, making magnetic hooks and storage nets perfect for keeping essentials like sunscreen, aloe for sunburns, hats, and other small items organized. Also, consider decorating your cabin door with something unique to make it easier to find among the endless identical doors.

The Food

Now, let’s talk about the food—OMG! The restaurant dining is absolutely top-tier, even better than the buffet in my opinion. With a huge variety of options, you’ll never go hungry. From juicy burgers, fresh pizza, and flavorful tacos to unlimited ice cream and gourmet dishes like filet mignon, there’s something for everyone.

One must-try spot is Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse—all I can say is WOW! The food is incredible, and if I could, I’d eat there all day. But of course, there are plenty of other things to do on board, like catching a show, trying your luck at the casino, or exploring the shops.

The Shows

The entertainment on board is fantastic, featuring comedians, live music (including some great '80s performances depending on the lineup), and more. Be sure to grab your drink card, sit back, and enjoy the show—just try not to laugh too hard! Personally, I love kicking back to some '80s and '90s music while taking in the performances.

Excursions

If you're planning to do excursions, it's best to book them while reserving your cruise, as they tend to fill up quickly depending on the destination. On one of our trips, we rented a car to explore the island and search for sea turtles swimming in the ocean. I found a few—it was an incredible experience! Just remember not to touch or chase them, as they can swim into deeper waters. It’s best to stay close to shore while observing them.

Your choice of excursions will depend on where you’re cruising to, but no matter what, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure.

One of my favorite excursions was Ocean World at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. I even got a kiss from a sea lion—let’s just say it was one fishy kiss! The park also features dolphin shows where you can interact with them up close, as well as an exhilarating opportunity to swim with sharks in a tank.

No matter where you go, your cruise will be full of amazing moments, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences. Happy sailing! 🚢
